Peter Olson is an award winning food photographer with a simple philosophy: great food has a story to tell, and his job is to tell it with finesse, texture, and a whole lot of colour. With a passport full of stamps and constantly on the hunt for the next great meal, his work is a celebration of food in its most compelling form, using light not just to illuminate, but to sculpt and define, to make surfaces glisten and textures jump right off the screen. Peter went to SAIT (Southern Alberta institute of Technology) for photojournalism and then had sort of meandering path to food, clients now include Sid Lee, Presidents Choice Financial, TVO, Clean Sheet Communications. He’s won awards in Photo life’s Emerging Photographers, The Epson International Pano Awards and Applied Arts Photography & Illustration awards.
