It was a wicked sense of humour, a tactile approach and the urge to dabble that led Justin Poulsen to begin his career at the Alberta College of Art and Design where he majored in photography. After exploring mediums as varied as sculpture, jewellery, 3D design and illustration, it should come as no surprise that he developed a dexterous, hands-on conceptual approach to his photographic subjects. His meticulous eye and nimble handmade effects defy reality, from his notoriously viral ‘thumb drive’ promo to his mind-bending concept and still life campaigns for Wired, Google, Timberland, Coors Light, and Honda (to name a few). Justin’s incredibly crafted images leap from the frame and spark the imagination.
