KC Armstrong brought his camera court side to catch the Raptors in action for Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment, and the results are a slam-dunk. KC’s savvy at shooting athletes is pretty evident looking at these amazing captures, but he admits even though he’s able to breathe life into basketball, he’s really a self-professed die hard hockey nut – “hockey is definitely my sport!” says KC, laughing, “but for any athlete I always go with the mentality of trying to frame them as superheroes, straight out of a comic.”
The whole team lined up for the lens on the Air Canada Centre court, where KC had to share his impromptu set with a TSN promo shoot, “there was some healthy competition for lighting,” he says, “I’ve seen their promos now and in the background you can see our strobe going off – I think it turned out pretty great for them actually!”
